To your health, Michelle
Grateful to Vanessa Bell Calloway and Eloise Laws, breast cancers survivors who inspired and empowered the ladies at our Annual Breast & Whole Health Breakfast Forum.
The Wellness Group is a grassroots 501(c) (3) non-profit breast and healthy lifestyle organization, established in 1994. The focus is to promote breast and whole health awareness to the under-resourced and under-served African American women throughout Los Angeles County.
As founding President of The Wellness Group, Michelle is extremely passionate about this project because there are no known ways to prevent breast cancer, however, early detection through self-breast examination, clinical breast examination and mammography are three ways to reduce the mortality rate.
Breast Cancer ranks second among the causes of cancer death among African Americans exceeded only by lung cancer according to the California Department of Health Services.
Mission: To inform, educate and empower the African American women on breast and a healthy lifestyle.
Thank you to all presenters whom has partnered with The Wellness Group to educate, empower and inspire women.
